The annual WasteMINZ Conference is the pinnacle event in the waste calendar. Join us and your fellow waste geeks to be inspired, learn about innovative projects, hear case studies, network, and share your own stories!

This year, we'll be hosting the annual TAO Forum and CLM workshop, as well as two site visits in central Christchurch and Christchurch outskirts.

TAO Forum details

Monday, 9 June, 10am - 4pm. Includes networking drinks

The TAO Forum is open to TAO Forum members only, and is an opportunity for council staff to come together and discuss joint opportunities, challenges and potential solutions. 

CLM workshop - Balancing risks and values: Pragmatic approaches to contaminated land management

Monday, 9 June - 10am-5pm. Includes networking drinks

Join your fellow contaminated land management peers to learn about pragmatic approaches to contaminated land management. 

Site visit details

Thursday, 12 June, 12.45pm-4.30pm. 

You have the opportunity to choose between two different site visits throughout Christchurch. 

These are both held at the same time, after sessions finish on Thursday, 12 June - leaving from Te Pae at 12.45pm (a packed lunch will be provided) and arriving back at approximately 4.30pm. 

• Kate Valley Landfill and Gareth James Energy Park
• Inner city - EcoShop, EcoSort and University of Canterbury Library Repair Space

Important information

• There are two separate registration forms - one for individual registrations, and one for group registrations. Please select the correct tab at the top of this page. 
• Group rates are only applicable for three-day registrations. Any add-ons (such as workshops and site visits) are not applicable for a further discount. 
• Three day registrations include a ticket to the Gala Dinner on Wednesday, 11 June. 
• Attendees who are registering for one or two days can also buy Gala Dinner tickets through the registration form. 
• If you would like purchase extra Gala Dinner tickets (for those not attending the conference), please contact CJ Dooner. 
• You can register for only the workshop or site tours - simply select "Site tour only" or "workshop only" in the applicable field. 
• If you are eligible for multiple discounts, the WasteMINZ team will apply only the highest value discount to your invoice. This include group registrations - for example, if you are a speaker and registering as part of a group, you will receive a total of 10% discount as that is the highest applicable.
